Organization of the Event Lagani Tiski Spust and Popaj Festival 2024 – Bigger and Better Than Ever

The “Lagani Tiski Spust and Popaj Festival” event took place on August 3rd, 2024, in the municipality of Novi Kneževac, organized by the Resource Center of the Fruška Gora-Danube Region, the Municipality of Novi Kneževac, and the Novi Kneževac Tourism Organization. This year’s event attracted a large number of visitors, offering them the opportunity to leisurely float down the Tisza River and enjoy the unique experience of rowing through beautiful landscapes. The organizers introduced additional water activities this year, including team rowing and kayaking competitions, as well as water rescue demonstrations.

The Popaj Festival was expanded to include a series of concerts, theatrical performances, and educational workshops for children, aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and preserving river ecosystems. Visitors enjoyed a rich selection of local culinary specialties and performances by cultural and artistic societies. A large number of participants and visitors from across Serbia was expected, and the event was supported by local authorities, tourism organizations, and numerous sponsors.
